Fourth Window

FOURTH
WINDOW

Fourth Window comprises advertisements for glass products from the fictional manufacturer Fourth Window, whose tagline is: “Architectural Products for the New Humanism.” The project was published in the “Comfort” issue of the Dutch architecture magazine Forum.

WORK with the comfort of knowing that you are always being watched. Enhance your glass. Resurface it with Publici-View©, the first environmentally friendly post-paranoid nonreflective glass outer coating, which lets them look in with the clarity of nighttime visibility twenty-four hours a day. Publici-View© gives back to glass Modernism’s look of “freedom” with the postmodern assurance of vulnerability.

PERFORM with the comfort of knowing that you can always see yourself. Enhance your glass. Resurface it with Vaniti-View©, the first environmentally correct neonarcissistic reflective glass inner coating which simulates nighttime reflection twenty-four hours a day so that you can watch yourself as others look on. Vaniti-View© gives back to glass Modernism’s feeling of “mastery” with the postmodern assurance of doubt.

WATCH with the comfort of knowing that you are always in full view. Enhance your glass. Resurface it with Recipro-View©, the first environmentally enforced postvoyeuristic outer coating with two-way clarity, which lets you watch them watching you as you watch them under any lighting condition. Recipro-View© gives back to glass Modernism’s promise of “truths” with the postmodern assurance of fictions.
